Episode 7- Restaurant Wars!

Restaurant Wars! Here we go!!!

Both teams have a chance here! Really mixed the strong and weak chefs well!

Restaurant: Four Pigs
Melissa, Doug, Mei and Adam
Executive Chef: Doug
Front of House: Adam
Theme: Casual Family Style

Restaurant: Magellan
Katie, Greg, Katsuji and Keriann
Executive Chef: Katie
Front of House: Keriann
Theme: Global Fusion

Both teams are taking some major risk with their themes! Funny that one team has both girls cooking and the guys as executive chef and front of house and the other team is opposite.

I really like Four Pig's menu!! and I am worried about Magellan's since the theme isn't very cohesive! Curious to see how Katie and Doug pull this off- I think we all thought Mei and Greg would take the Executive Chef positions.

Adam did a good job, he is kind of goofy and seemed to really enjoy himself. Doug killed it for his first time as executive chef! Yay! There are a few seasoning issues, but overall the team really did well!

Keriann seems like a mess- everything is a bit confused and it could really hurt them! I think Katie knows what she's doing, but the issue with Keriann could crush the team. I am not sure why it is SO disorganized.
Plus her dessert was impossible to execute at room temp, and heating them looked gross, there was no good solution!

Four Pigs for a lot of kudos! Very cohesive and organized. Nicely done!!!! They earned that win and Doug won the challenge!

Magellan got beat DOWN! The Beets and the Dessert failed which put them in the bottom. Elimination is between Katie and Keriann- which is NOT a surprise. And it's Keriann going home!

  1. What a fun Restaurant Wars! It was great to see Doug's team working so cohesively, and really disappointing to see the other team go down in flames. I wanted Greg to bounce back from his Thanksgiving disaster by being a leader & going bold, but instead he went the opposite route. Katsuji is a lot nastier of a person than I thought he was before!! And Keriann & Katie were both atrocious. Definitely right that Keriann went home, but Katie needed to be more forceful with her when things started going downhill. Of course with a lame theme like "international food" that team was probably sunk from the start.
